The versatile Evo 5 industrial safety helmet by JSP has a switchable anchorage chinstrap allowing the harness release force of the helmet to be altered, switching between the EN397 standard for hard hats on the ground and EN12492 for climbing helmets.

The Evo 5 industrial safety helmet is an extremely versatile product as it offers both the EN397 standard for hard hats on the ground or alternatively, the switchable anchorage chinstrap can alter the harness release force to making the helmet comply to the EN12492 standard for climbing. Switching to EN397 mode lowers the release force to less than 25daN, (250N), releasing the chinstrap if snagged to avoid choking. Increasing the harness release force to more than 25daN, (250N), switches the product to EN12492 mode, preventing the release of the chinstrap to minimise the risk of losing your helmet whilst working at height. The wide size range of this product makes it suitable for a wide range of head sizes.
